ABOUT
BIOGRAPHY
I grew up in Sugarland, Texas, a large suburb of Houston, where I graduated from Elkins Highschool. As a freshman in highschool, I founded AZ Cinematics, a multidisciplinary entertainment company that I was working on establishing as an LLC. Through AZ Cinematics, I worked with clients including Travis Scott, ASAP Ferg, Sony Music Entertainment, and Billafam United, LLC. Although I have strayed away from the AZ Cinematics umbrella, I continue to enjoy shooting videos and photographs for a plethora of clients.
An honours student throughout my childhood, I am currently double majoring in Radio-Television-Film and Physics at the University of Texas at Austin. I try to stay involved in my campus community. In the past, I have worked with Texas Student Television, the only FCC-licensed student television station in the nation, eventually serving as studio manager for the station. Later, I helped found Texas Programmers in Science and Engineering (PSE), for which I also served as VP of Administration. PSE, later renamed Coders Across Disciplines (CAD), is a campus organization dedicated to teaching students in non-CS disciplines how to code in multiple languages. In Fall 2016, I got involved as Power and Systems Engineer for 512 Hyperloop, the UT undergraduate hyperloop engineering team. We had the incredible opportunity to attend and compete in SpaceX's Hyperloop Competition II as one of only 20 teams from around the world. After 512 Hyperloop merged with Texas Guadaloop, the award winning graduate team, I served as Chief Engineer for Texas Guadaloop [UT Hyperloop Engineering] in the development of an air bearing levitated pod for SpaceX's Hyperloop Competition III.
Throughout my college career, I have also sailed competitively in the SEISA division of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association with the University of Texas Sailing Team, serving a variety of officer roles, including Captain in Spring 2017. I also compete in intramural soccer.
Aside from sailing, I have many unique hobbies. I am an avid backpacker, rock climber, and mountaineer. I am a student pilot with over 35 hours in the left seat of a Piper Cherokee 180 and Cessna 172. I also enjoy motorsport and race autocross on weekends. I have even had the incredible opportunity to race marshal for the Formula 1 USGP! When I'm not flying or racing, I make music and enjoy playing the piano, guitar, viola, and drums.
